This is my build of Koush’s ClockWorkMod Recovery 6.0.4.9. This recovery is common to all ZTE devices with board name atlas40 (e.g. ZTE Blade III, ZTE Acqua, V889D, V880E etc).

In following 2 ways, you can Install ClockworkMod (CWM) Recovery. Download the Rashr app from the play store. Extract the zip file of the recovery which you downloaded earlier on your computer. Copy the “recovery.img” from extracted file to a folder in the internal memory of the phone.
- Flashing a CWM ClockworkMod and TWRP custom recovery on your android devices is not difficult, as most of the android users think. It just takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete the task and all you have to run some ADB commands on your windows PC and you are done.
- Download Odin 3 v1.85 zip from here. Extract its contents into a single zip file. Power off the tablet device. Boot it into Download Mode. To enter it you need to press and hold Volume UP + Power.

This recovery is fully working with goodies such as repeatable keys and adb sideload support. Use volume keys to navigate menus and power button to select. Cadillacs and dinosaurs pc download.
Do not use this recovery to flash official updates from ZTE website! You need to repack them for ClockWorkMod or use the stock recovery to install.
How to make clean ROM dump/backup of your device (before you root or install cwm): (recommended)
- download ZTE USB drivers
- download Android SDK platform-tools (Windows, Linux, Mac) to get adb and fastboot
- download recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img recovery image
- create a new directory somewhere and copy adb.exe, fastboot.exe and recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img into it
- plug in your device via USB cable and install drivers (make sure you’ve enabled USB debugging on your device)
- change into the directory you’ve created and execute following commands in terminal window (boots into recovery instead of flashing it)
- select backup & restore -> backup (Seriously, always backup your device before you install anything!)
How to install ClockWorkMod Recovery (windows):
- download ZTE USB drivers
- download Android SDK platform-tools (Windows, Linux, Mac) to get adb and fastboot
- download recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img recovery image
- create a new directory somewhere and copy adb.exe, fastboot.exe and recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img into it
- plug in your device via USB cable and install drivers (make sure you’ve enabled USB debugging on your device)
- change into the directory you’ve created and execute following commands in terminal window
- congratulations, you have installed cwm on to your device
- boot into ClockWorkMod by pressing volume up (or down) while powering on or using ‘adb reboot recovery’
- select backup & restore -> backup (Seriously, always backup your device before you install anything!)
How to root your device via recovery:
- download SuperSU and save it to your sdcard
- follow instructions on how to install/boot ClockWorkMod recovery
- install SuperSU zip in ClockWorkMod recovery
If you have already gained root access with some other root method, you can flash recovery using Terminal Emulator:
- copy recovery-cwm60xx-atlas40.img to the root of your phone’s sdcard
- execute following commands in terminal emulator

Chinese handset maker Xiaomi launched its latest smartphone Mi4 in India, earlier this month. Xiaomi launched the Mi4 in July last year. However, the device did not hit the Indian market until this month.

Pre-Requisite
- Download the CWM recovery for Mi4 smartphone.
- Create a backup of all the data present in your device.

METHOD 1

- Download the Rashr app from the play store.
- Extract the zip file of the recovery which you downloaded earlier on your computer.
- Copy the “recovery.img” from extracted file to a folder in the internal memory of the phone.
- Now,open the rashr app [note – It will ask you for the root permission, accept it. If you’re on MIUI 6, you will have to open the security app and allow root access to this app]
- Select the first option of the app called “Recovery from storage”, it will show a browser, go to the folder where “recovery.img” is, click on it, validate the flash.
- After the flash is done, the app will ask you if you want to reboot to recovery, you can say yes if you want to check or use it right know.

METHOD 2
- Rename the recovery file which you downloaded earlier as update.zip
- Now, copy that file in the Mi4 device.
- Open the updater app on your smartphone.
- Press menu button and then click on “Select update package”
- Now select the update.zip file.
- Reboot the device.
